Our ADC group had a great time horse'n around at the Jenning's house and riding their beautiful horse drawn Carriage. Buggy rides with Mark and Janet are one of our favorite summertime traditions.

Rigby Kid Center- Day at Billie- Joe's

Last month we went to a past worker's home where we had a campfire roast for lunch and got to play with puppies. After lunch she took us to her greenhouse where she taught us how to take care of plants. She even gave each participant a plant to pot and take home. We had so much fun!

A New Journeys CDS!

A New Journeys CDS!
Hayley has been associated with Journeys since volunteering as an undergraduate student from BYU-Idaho in 2006. Her volunteer work led to a job and internship at Journeys through 2007. Following a mission to Missouri, Hayley graduated from BYU-Idaho in Recreational Leadership with minors in Psychology and Communications in 2010. After graduation she returned because of her love for the people and work of Journeys, working up as a paraprofessional, scheduler and now a CDS.
Hayley was raised in Rexburg and has always enjoyed the incredible outdoors of Southeastern Idaho, recreational activities and being around people, particularly her nieces and other children. She and her husband Justin were married this past December and they now live in Idaho Falls. She’s excited to have more opportunities to work with everyone at Journeys.

In March, Rachel, our wonderful Rigby children’s CDS had a beautiful healthy baby girl. They named her Mary, she weighed 8lb 3oz and was 19 inches long. Rachel is now a stay-at-home mom living in Colorado. We miss her dearly and wish her the best of luck.

Talent Show

Both Adult Centers got together in February to showcase their skills in our Talent Show.  We had great singing, dancing, art displays, poetry, some magic, and an unforgettable midget skit from our DS's.  We were so proud of all of the performers and the great job they did!

Potato Derby

How much do we Idahoans love our potatoes?  We mash 'em, bake 'em, fry 'em, and at Journeys we race 'em!  Both the Rigby Adult and the Children Centers had a Potato Derby in February .  How to you race potatoes, you ask?

1) Take a locally grown potato
2) Trim the sides
3) Paint on some flair
4) Attach 4 wooden wheels
5) SEE YA LATER TATER!

Halloween Party

We had so much fun at our Halloween Ball that it was Spooky!  There were some amazing costumes, great food, and a good time was had by all.
